General structure introduction of sock machine
Jan 01, 2024| The structure of the sock machine mainly includes knitting, transmission, control, pattern, density adjustment and yarn feeding and pulling mechanism.
The knitting mechanism is also the loop forming part of the sock machine. The single-cylinder sock machine is knitted by sock needles, sinkers, needle cam devices and sinker cam devices in cooperation with each other. The double-cylinder sock machine is knitted by the double-ended latch needle, guide needle, sinker, guard piece, grid teeth, needle cam device, and sinker cam device in cooperation with each other, so that the yarn forms a loop and is knitted into socks.
The transmission mechanism is based on the technological requirements of the socks, making the needle barrel rotate quickly, slowly and reciprocally, and transmits the control mechanism.
The control mechanism automatically changes the program at each stage in the process of knitting socks, causing the machine parts to change actions.
The pattern mechanism is to add various pattern structures to socks, including horizontal stripe thread changing mechanism, embroidery and jacquard needle selection mechanism.
The density adjustment mechanism makes the socks reach the specified density according to the requirements of each section to ensure the quality of the socks.
The yarn feeding mechanism ensures the continuous knitting process on the sock machine. The yarn is unwound from the bobbin in sequence, passing through the tension device, the automatic stop device for thread breakage, and the yarn guide. The sock needle is continuously hooked up to the yarn guide to pick up the yarn. Form a coil. The elastic thread or spandex thread is fed into the knitting area by the active thread feeding mechanism.
The pulling mechanism is used during the knitting process to make the new coils move to the back of the needle one after another to ensure the smooth progress of the looping process. The pulling function is completed by sinkers, head and pulling fingers, weights, roller pulling and air flow pulling mechanisms, etc.
