What Is A Double-cylinder Circular Hosiery Machine?

The double-cylinder circular sock knitting machine uses two upper and lower cylinders to knit middle and short socks. It can produce socks of various organizations such as plain stitch, rib, double reverse, jacquard, garnish, horizontal strip, tuck and so on.


The upper needle cylinder groove and the lower needle cylinder groove of the double-cylinder circular hosiery machine are opposite to each other. Its main loop-forming parts include double-headed latch needles, needle guides and sinkers. Knitted color socks still need foot pieces and jacquard pieces. The double-headed latch needle is knitted under the action of the needle guide piece, one end of which is engaged with the needle guide piece, and the other end is knitted. When the double-headed latch needle is controlled by the lower needle guide in the lower needle cylinder, the upper needle is used to knit the front stitch. It can also be transferred between the upper and lower needle cylinders according to the requirements of fabric organization. When the upper needle cylinder is controlled by the upper needle guide, the lower needle crochet is used to knit the reverse stitch. There is a working heel on the needle guide, which makes the double-headed latch needle knit according to a certain needle route under the action of the triangle. There is also a transfer heel, which transfers the double-headed latch needle under the action of the transfer triangle. When knitting colorful socks, the bottom foot piece and the jacquard piece are connected together and arranged under the lower needle guide piece for needle selection by the needle selection mechanism.


The double-cylinder circular hosiery machine has an upper and a lower cam system. The lower cam system has a two-way cam seat for knitting the heel and toe of the needle cylinder one-way and two-way rotation. The upper cam system only makes the double-headed latch needle knit when the needle cylinder rotates in one direction. Each of the upper and lower cam systems has a transfer cam, which can transfer the double-headed latch needle up and down. The double-cylinder circular hosiery machine can also be equipped with two or three loop forming systems.


1. Feed the needle, the lower guide piece rises to push the latch needle upward;


2. Enter the hook, the latch needle pushes the upper guide piece away and enters the hook of the upper needle guide;


3. Unhook, the lower guide piece and latch needle are disconnected;


4. Reset, the lower guide pin will go down and return to the original position. The sock knitted by the double-cylinder circular sock machine has better elasticity, but the mechanism is too complicated. Electronic technology has been applied to simplify the mechanism.
